Stanley Edward Cohen, age 68, passed away September 11, 2012 at his home.

He was born November 8, 1943 to Eugene D. and Wilma L. (Rees) Cohen in Wallace, Nebraska.

He loved helicopters, was proud of his cars and enjoyed working the land. In his younger years he enjoyed pheasant hunting.

He was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church.

Survivors include his sister, Teresa Helmick and husband, David of Hastings; children, Chris, Tanya and Brian; grandchildren, Emily and Lilly; aunts, Cathy Coder of Lincoln and Carolyn Cohen of North Platte; uncle, Paul Coder of Wellfleet; niece, Karen Halferty and husband, Adrian of Lincoln and numerous cousins and extended family.

He was preceded in death by his parents; several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Memorial services will be Friday, September 14, 2012, 11:00 a.m. at Carpenter Breland Funeral Home with Jerry Beckenhauer officiating. Inurnment will take place at a later date at Morning View Cemetery in Wallace.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given toward mass services in his name or to the charity of one’s choice
