FEDERAL HEIGHTS, Colo. - Marilyn “Kay” (Ulrich) Michel was born on Jan. 25, 1941, in Oberlin, Kan., to Louis and Francis Ulrich (Richards) and peacefully left us on Aug. 17, 2019, in the comfort of her home in Federal Heights at the age of 78. She grew up in McCook, Neb. She graduated from McCook High School in 1958. She married Dean Michel on Aug. 3, 1959. Kay is survived by her spouse of 61 years, Dean Michel; children, Terry (Laura) Michel and daughter, Cindy (Tim) McAdam. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Sam Ewing, Ashley (Michael) Rushfeldt and great-granddaughter, Olivia Rushfeldt; her brother, Ray (Nancy) Ulrich of Florida; sisters, Mary Lou Ross of Trenton, Neb., Heddy Reiners of Holdredge, Neb., and Virginia Mowe of McCook; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, as well as three sisters and two brothers. There was no service, as Kay’s family honored her wish to be cremated. Though Kay may be gone from this world now, her memory will live on in our spirit and hearts forever.
