Lorin Kay Mackey, born November 7, 1936 in McCook, Nebraska to Woodson and Elma (Stapp) Mackey passed peacefully on August 23, 2015 at home in Keenesburg, CO. Lorin retired in 1998 from the City & County of Denver where he last worked as a heavy equipment operator at Denver International Airport. He served in the Nebraska Army National Guard from 1953 – 1956 and the Colorado Army National Guard from 1956 – 1959.

Lorin was preceded in death by his parent, stepparents, brother Lee Ray Mackey, and son Kirby Mackey.

Lorin is survived by his wife Lora, his brother Dana Mackey and wife Peggy of Freemont, Nebraska, his eldest daughter Bridget (Mackey) Komine and husband Howard of Honolulu, HI, his youngest daughter Martha (Mackey) North of Brighton, Colorado, grandchildren Britton, Lorin, Jordyn, Amy, Lora, and great grandchildren Lia, Kaden, Robert, and Nicky.

Lorin was a husband, a father, a brother, a grandfather, a great grandfather, a friend and a neighbor. He was a man’s man. Lorin will be sorely missed by one and all.
