Donald Hamilton - Class Of 1953

Donald Dale Hamilton

Surrounded by his loving family, Don went to be with his Lord on December 31, 2008. Funeral services will be held at 12 noon with visitation from 10:30-12 noon Saturday, January 3, 2009 at D.W. Newcomer's Sons Floral Hills Chapel; burial to follow in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the caregivers at Kansas City Hospice House for thier warmth and compasssion during Don's illness. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions to the Kansas City Hospice House, 12000 Wornall Road, Kansas City, MO 64145.

Don was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church of Raytown; he participated in the Single Adult Bible Studies and assisted in the church Multi-Media Center. He loved fishing, woodworking, gardening, and watching sports. Don was a member of the National Guard. He was a kind, gentle and loving person who will be missed dearly by all who knew him.

Donald was preceded in death by his parents, Ivan Hamilton and Hazel (Overton) Hamilton, and sister, Norma Higgins. He is survived by his wife Mary of 53 years, numerous nieces and nephews as well as many family members and friends.
