Merit L. Bell
LINCON, Nebraska -- Merit L. Bell, 80, of Lincoln, Nebraska, passed away Friday, Sept. 13, 2013, in Lincoln.
He was born to Marvin "Hap" Bell and Doraleen (Reid) Bell in the town of Norcatur, Kansas. He was an active member of Word of Life Church in Lincoln. Merit was a caring and loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.To the many who knew him, he was an all-around great guy.
He is survived by his wife, Doris (Ebke) Jordening Bell and children, Merit L. (LuAnn) Bell, Sherry Richter (Chris Sillanpaa), Cynthia Cusick, Allen (Jayne) Bell, Jeffrey (MeLissa) Bell, David (Jill) Bell, Daniel (Bobbi) Bell, Timothy (Connie) Jordening, Jonathan (Carol) Jordening, Heidi (Phil) Beardshear, Vicki Blocher, Deanna Burmood and many loving grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
His Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be at Holy Savior Lutheran Church in Lincoln, 10th and Superior, at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 18, 2013. Inurnment will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Lexington, Nebraska, on Thursday, Sept. 19, 2013 at 1 p.m. Memorials may be made to the Peoples City Mission or Word of Life Church, Lincoln, Nebraska.
