Jacquelin Lea McKillip, 75, passed from this life on Wednesday (March 10, 2010) at McCook Community Hospital in McCook, Neb.

She was born April 18, 1934, at McCook to Darwin and Laura (Abbott) Markwad. She grew up around McCook and attended McCook High School, graduating in 1952.

On August 12, 1958, she married Ronald McKillip and became a loving mother to his children, Daniel, Cinthia and Saiidra. This union was blessed with a daughter, Laura and a son, Jeffrey.

Her hobbies included genealogy, her computer and reading. She was an accomplished seamstress, gifted at China painting and ceramics. She crocheted and knitted doilies, afghans and many sweaters for her family. She was talented at anything she did.

She was a loving wife and mother and especially loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Caring about others was always foremost in her mind.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her step-mother, Virginia Eileen (Neiman); one brother, Donald (Butch); two sons, Daniel and infant son, Jeffrey.

Survivors include her husband of 51 years, Ron of McCook; three daughters, Cindy and Toni Shields of McCook, Sandy and Bill McConville of Culbertson, Neb., and Laura and David Klaus of Newburg, Ore.; six grandchildren, Sara (Eric) Eisenmenger, Creighton (Kindra) Shields, Leah (Todd) Johnson, Jill (Brad) Lauer, Allyx (Dillon) Garretson, Drew Shields; and seven great-grandchildren; Nicholas, Natalie and Abigail Eisenmenger, Tyler, Kaden and Keegan Johnson, and Aiden Lauer; one brother, Ernest (Terri) Markwad and two sisters, Claudia Albright and Diane (Martin) Hime.

Funeral service will be Saturday, March 13, 10:30 a.m., at Herrmann Memorial Chapel in McCook with the Rev. Tom Albertson officiating.

Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery in McCook.

Memorials may be given in her to the charity of the donors choice.

Visitation is Friday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Herrmann Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
