Delores Dorothy Nielson Delores Dorothy Nielson, 91, joined Jesus and loved ones in heaven on June 10, 2024.

Born on August 11, 1932, in Beverly, Nebraska, she spent her childhood in Nebraska and moved to Colorado after marrying the love of her life Carl Nielson on November 19, 1949.

Delores was a twin to Audrey Ann, and their visits always found them dressed exactly alike, leaving the grandchildren and great-grandchildren confused as to who was who!

Also known as Dee Dee, she loved to spend time with her family, baking and gardening.

She attended Alameda Baptist Church in Lakewood, Colorado, and Monument View Bible Church in Fruita, Colorado.

She was greeted in heaven by her parents, Joseph and Bessie Hupf, stepmother Jessie Hupf, husband Carl Nielson, daughter Carla (Jerry) Martin, sister Audrey Cole, brothers Don and Robert Hupf.

Delores is survived by her children: daughter Dorothy Nielson; daughter Donna Anderson; and son Arne (Cyndy) Nielson, 7 grandchildren, 3 step-grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and 5 step-great-grandchildren.

Funeral service arrangements are Friday, June 21 at 11am, Crown Hill Cemetery in Wheat Ridge, Colorado.
