Darlene (Bender) Weed

KENNEWICK, Wash. — Darlene (Bender) Weed, 93, of Kennewick, passed away on June 22, 2026.

She grew up in McCook, Nebraska, where she graduated high school with the Class of 1951.

She is survived by her son, John and wife, Laurie Lafayette Weed and grandson, Martin, of Richland, Washington; and her sister, Barbara O’Dea of McCook.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Weed, mother, Enid Hurley, stepfather, Lafe Hurley, and grandparents, Ed and Bess Guthrie and Karl and Elizabeth Bender.

Darlene will be interred in Memorial Park Cemetery in McCook at a later date.
