Richard Dale "Dick" Beideck, 73, died Thursday, May 12, 2005, at Bryan LGH-East in Lincoln. Dick was born on July 16, 1931, in McCook, the son of Jacob and Marie Katherine (Brehm) Beideck.
Dick graduated from McCook High School in 1950. Dick served in the U.S. Navy from 1951 - 1954, and then took employment with Burlington Northern Railroad as a Conductor/Brakeman until he retired in 1992.
Dick married Joyce Foth of Ord, on June 24, 1956. To this union there were three children born.
Dick was a member of Memorial United Methodist Church, the Elks Club, American Legion and the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He will be remembered as a man who enjoyed being with people, especially his family and grandchildren. His special interests were hunting, fishing, gardening, puttering in his garage, and going to coffee with the gang.
Survivors are: wife, Joyce Biedeck; daughter, Jennifer and son-in-law, Paul Sline of Plano, Texas; sons, John Beideck and daughter-in-law, Gay of Kearney and Jeff Beideck, of Omaha; brother, Jerry Beideck and wife, Jean of McCook; five grandchildren, Jessica, Katherine, and Abigail Sline, and Chase and Blake Beideck and a host of relatives and friends.
Inurnment was in the Memorial Park Columbarium, McCook, NE.
