GERING, Nebrasaka --With gratitude to God, Carolyn J. Robarchek passed away peacefully after her long battle with Alzheimer's. She is at peace, whole again and in a better place.

Her funeral service will be on Friday, Sept. 28, 2012, at 10 a.m. at Faith Lutheran Church in Gering, Nebraska, with Pastor Richard Neugebauer officiating. Interment will follow at West Lawn Cemetery. A prayer service will be Thursday at 5:30 p.m. at Gering Memorial Chapel. Visitation will be Thursday from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the chapel. Carolyn was born in Kearney, Nebraska, July 10, 1932. She went to be with the Lord on Monday, Sept. 24, 2012. She was the daughter of Joseph and Ruth Anderson. She graduated from McCook High School in 1950. She married John "Jack" Robarchek, Sr. Sept. 23, 1950. She and Jack moved to Gering in 1958. Carolyn retired from Lockwood Corporation where she worked for over 25 years. Carolyn also worked for Gering Junior High. She and Jack were married 50 years.

Carolyn was a member of Faith Lutheran Church. She loved to garden, bake, crochet, watch Husker football and spend time with her kids and grandkids. She was famous in her neighborhood for her krautburgers and her beautiful roses.

Survivors include her daughters, Julie (Dan) Burks, Jeanne (Rudy) Sanchez and Jaci Sullivan; her grandchildren, McKenzie (Joshua) Giddings, Elysha Cook, Kyle Burks, Olivia Sanchez and Dawson Sullivan and one great-grandson, Aiden Cook.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her grandson, Dustin, her brother, Andy Anderson, her son, John Robarchek, Jr. and her husband, Jack.
