LINCOLN, Neb. — Muriel O. Miller, age 90, of Lincoln, passed away Monday, Oct. 5, 2021, in Lincoln. Muriel was born Sept. 25, 1931, in Culbertson, Neb., to Axel and Ellen S. (Jacobs) Olson. She graduated from McCook High School with the Class of 1949. Muriel then went on to attend Colorado Women’s College in Denver, Colo. Muriel married Edwin Miller on May 1, 1953, in McCook, Neb. The couple became the proud parents of three children. Along with her husband, Edwin, Muriel owned and operated Miller’s Home Decorating from 1977 to 1989. Muriel also volunteered her time by delivering meals through the Meals on Wheels program. She was a member of the Memorial United Methodist Church. Muriel was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin Miller; and her brother, Don D. (Donna) Olson. Those left to celebrate her life include her children, Judy Miller of Lincoln, Mike Miller of Traverse City, Mich., and Jana (Mike) Halverson, also of Lincoln; three grandchildren, Sarah Halverson, McKenzie Miller and Maddi Miller; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members. Memorial contributions are suggested to Heritage Senior Center Home Delivered Meals, 1312 West 5th, McCook, NE 69001 A memorial service will be 2 p.m., on Friday, Oct. 8, 2021, at Carpenter Breland Funeral Home, McCook, with Pastor Jeff Kelley officiating. Inurnment will follow in Memorial Park cemetery, McCook. Carpenter Breland Funeral Home of McCook has been entrusted with the arrangements.
