Lorene Vivian Kordenbrock was born December 27, 1929 in McCook, NE to Charles & Iva (Tirrill) McNutt. She lived in rural Hayes Center and rural McCook before graduating from McCook High School in 1947. She went on to receive her degree in education from Wayne State College and a Masters of Education from the University of Iowa.
She spent her adult life teaching in the mission fields of remote Hawaii, Taiwan, Thailand, New Mexico Indian Reservation, finishing her classroom teaching career in Panorama City, CA at a Church School where she met and married the principal, Henry (Harry) Kordenbrock in 1982. The couple lived in southern CA, Montrose CO and McCook before his death in 2007.
In her “retirement” years, she taught several bible studies and looked after her 2 brothers and others in her church family.
She is proceeded in death by her husband, Henry; her parents; beloved aunts and uncles; and sister-in-law.
She is survived by her granddaughters Jennifer Karr of Mason, TN and Brenda Lavoie of Encino, CA; Brothers Dale and Larry McNutt both of McCook; Sister, Ardis (Joe) Moreau of Bonney Lake, WA; numerous nieces and nephews and her many friends and neighbors.
