Sylvia Rae "Mic" Herman
Sylvia Rae "Mic" Herman, 95, passed away peacefully from this life on Friday morning July 21, 2023 at home with her family.
Mic was born in McCook Nebraska Feburary 13, 1928 to Hugo & Jessie Schultz. She had an older brother Donal & two younger sisters Greta (Delbert) Kennedy & Pamela Taylor who all predeceased her as did her loving husband, Sanford John "Jack" Herman & her eldest son Dennis. She was married for 56 yrs & raised four children in Long Beach, CA.
Mic was an avid golf club member at all three public golf courses in Long Beach as well as a pilot with the Firemen's Flying Club there.
After retiring to Sun City with husband Jack, she became a longtime volunteer for the local Posse there as well as an accomplished artist.
She will be greatly remembered to those who knew her, especially by her youngest son John Craig & her daughters Paula & Sandy.
She is also survived by her four grand children, six great grandchildren & many nieces & nephews.
A memorial is to be held on October 7 at 1pm at the Glendale Moose Lodge #2243 9550 W. Peoria Ave. Peoria, AZ 85345. 623-878-4940
