Arlene Chaney Williams, 82, of Colorado Springs, died Nov. 26, 2009, in Centennial. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time Tuesday, Dec. 1, at Chaney-Reager Funeral Home. Funeral servic es will follow at 1:30 p.m., with the Rev. James R. Nash officiating. Interment will be at Riverside Cemetery
Mrs. Williams was born Nov. 14, 1927, to Russell John and Amelia K. (Brunkhorst) Chaney in Sharon Springs, Kan. She graduated from McCook, Neb., High School in 1946. On Feb. 22, 1948, she married Robert P. Williams in McCook. She had lived in Colorado Springs since 1964. She was a member of the Eastern Star in Hutchinson, Kan., and Fountain Valley Senior Citizen Center in Fountain.
Mrs. Williams is survived by her sons, Robert Williams and wife Gloria and Ted Williams, all of Colorado Springs; daughters, Carol Ann Williams and Max Romero of Colorado Springs and Amelia Webber and husband Don of Bailey; brother, Russ Chaney of Sterling; sisters-in-law, Carmen Chaney of Kearney, Neb., and Maxine Chaney of Denver; grandson, Luke Williams and wife Jennifer of Highland Ranch; great-grand son, Grant Williams; sisters-in- law, Betty Ambrose and husband Frank of Gloversville, N.Y., Rose Ann Wahl of Pensacola, Fla., and Helen Williams of Reseda, Calif. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Williams in 1996; brothers, Very Chaney and Paul Chaney; and sister, Julene Allen. Memorials may be made to Fountain Valley Senior Citizen Center in Fountain.
