SUGARLAND, Texas -- Robert "Bob" H. Esteb, 84, died Tuesday (Oct. 30, 2012), at Houston, Texas.

He was born Dec. 31, 1927, in McCook to Elmo and Essie Esteb. He attended country school until the eighth grade and graduated from McCook High School in 1945.

He entered into service with the U. S. Navy in 1945. He married Jeanette Klein April 7, 1949.

He and his father operated a car dealership in McCook, "Esteb and Son."

He and his wife managed the Royal Motel in McCook in 1960. They moved to Houston in 1967, and where they owned a service station. He retired in 2004.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Betty Cotton and Jeanne Wilson.

Survivors include his wife, Jeanette, children, Bobby Esteb of Stafford, Texas and Kathy Smith of Houston and three grandchildren.

Memorial services will be at Westbury Baptist Church in Houston at a later date.
