LINCOLN — Muriel L. Beardslee, 86, of Lincoln died Sunday, Dec. 21, 2014.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 1725 Lake St., with the Rev. John Sullivan officiating and burial at Lincoln Memorial Park. Visitation will be Friday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Butherus Maser and Love, 4040 A St. A rosary will be at 7:30 p.m. Friday at the church.
Memorials are suggested to Matt Talbot Kitchen.

Muriel was born on July 2, 1928, in Cambridge to Walter and Louise (Weicher) James. She was united in marriage to Charles Beardslee on Aug. 16, 1952, in Lincoln. They made their home in Lincoln until 1975 when they moved to Norfolk. While in Norfolk, she was the music teacher at Norfolk Catholic and served as choir director at St Mary’s. In 1992, they moved back to Lincoln, and she served as choir director at Blessed Sacrament.
She is survived by husband Charles Beardslee of Lincoln, daughter Christine (husband Ron) Mehser of Omaha, daughter Catherine Mlnarik of Glenwood Springs, Colo., son Charles Jr. (wife Margaret) Beardslee of San Natalia, Texas, son Christopher (wife Mary) Beardslee of Lincoln, son William (wife Sally) Beardslee of Irving, Texas, son James (wife Carla) Beardslee of Decatur, Ala., son Gene (wife Lisa) Beardslee of Peru, daughter Carrie Beardslee of Lincoln, son Tom Beardslee of Carlsbad, Calif., son Anthony (wife Nicole) Beardslee of Norfolk, 37 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers, Walter James Jr., Vincent James and Philip James.
