L'Marie June Robertson was born September 8, 1926, near Marion, Nebraska, to Sidney "Ted" and Helen C. (Miller) Ambler. L'Marie passed away Sunday, March 16, 2014, at the Goodland Regional Medical Center in Goodland, Kansas.
L'Marie was raised on the family farm near Danbury, Nebraska. She attended a country grade school and graduated from McCook (NE.) High School.
On October 10, 1950, L'Marie married Ellsworth L. "Jim" Robertson in McCook, Nebraska. They made their home on a farm eight miles south of Oberlin, Kansas. After Jim's death in 1998, L'Marie moved to Oberlin, Kansas and later moved to Goodland, Kansas in 2010.
Jim and L'Marie were blessed with four children. During the early years of her marriage, she was a busy farm wife and mother who enjoyed cooking, gardening and crocheting. Later in life, L'Marie operated the Oberlin Livestock Cafe for 30 years and her cooking was well known and appreciated by many.
L'Marie was preceded in death by: parents; husband; daughter, Andrea Lynn Peters and sons-in-law, Ron Deringer and Dennis Peters.
Funeral Service was held on Wednesday, March 19, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Pauls Funeral Home, Oberlin Kansas with Pastor Chris Nelson as officiator.
Burial was in Oberlin Cemetery, Oberlin, Kansas.
