On January 7, 1948 she was united in marriage to Clayton (Beanie) Harmon at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in McCook. To this union three children were born, a daughter and twins (Girl/Boy). The early years revolved on raising their family, and several years as a Girl Scout leader for her daughters.

Veldron was a lifetime member of St. Patrick Church, active in Altar Society and the St. Theresa Circle. She devoted herself to family, church and volunteer work. She loved to travel and had the opportunity to travel throughout the United States, Italy, Panama, Central America and Northeastern Canada. She loved to garden and took great pride in flowers. She also loved interior decorating, baking and cooking. Veldron made the best Caramel Rolls and often shared her secret recipes. She moved to Kearney in 2015 for senior living and joined St. James Catholic Church.
