Marian Lee Steele was born in McCook on June 2, 1925 to Arther and Beulah Steele. She was the fifth of seven children. She died on Apil 20, 2025.
Marian graduated with the MHS class of 1943. 
She met her lifelong partner, Ernie Elliott while he was stationed at the McCook army airbase. They were married October 15, 1945 and welcomed two children into their life. 
Marian enjoyed embroidery and was an excellent seamstress. Her church was the center of her friendships and her social life. Her love of theater was passed on to her children and they enjoyed going to many plays together. 
She was blessed with four grandchildren and six great grandchildren. 
Marian will forever be remembered  for her kindness, devotion to her family and her unwavering spirit.
