William 'Bill' Thomas Bales
FULLERTON, Calif. --William "Bill" Thomas Bales, 91, formerly of McCook, Nebraska, died Monday (April 6, 2015) in Fullerton, California.
Bales was born in McCook to Clarence and Polly Bales of McCook. He grew up in McCook and was a McCook High School graduate.

He joined the U.S. Navy and served in the Pacific from 1942 to 1945.

In 1945 he married Gerry Amen of McCook.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Polly Bales; and his wife Gerry in 2012.

He was survived by his sister, Sherry (Bales)Hornkohl and brother Floyd Bales, both of McCook; three sons, Bill Jr, Bob and Don; and daughter Connie Rush.

Funeral services are Friday, April 10, 2015, at St. John's Lutheran Church in Orange, California.
