Dolorous Krieger (Busch) - Class Of 1941

Dolorous "Dee" Busch

Dolorous (Krieger) Busch, 94, of Bartlesville, OK went to her heavenly home on March 7, 2017 surrounded by her three children and family.

 

Born in Sutton, NE on June 1, 1922 to Charles and Hulda (Kern) Krieger, Dolorous grew up in McCook, NE and graduated with the class of 1941. After her graduation, she began work at St. Catherine Hospital as an Aide, hoping to become a nurse; but instead met the love of her life, Paul Busch from Windsor, CO, at a German Church Conference in Ft. Morgan, CO. The couple were married on February 4, 1942 in McCook and farmed in the Eaton, CO area for twenty-eight years before moving to Greeley, CO. In 2009, Dolorous moved in with her daughter and in 2011 they moved to Oklahoma.

 

Dolorous was a devoted mother and homemaker and later worked at Sunnyview Church of the Nazarene as a church secretary for eight years. An avid Avon sales rep, she distributed their products to friends, family and customers for over twelve years.

 

Her greatest joy and blessing were her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is survived by her three children - Paul (Geri) of Bartlesville, OK; John (Teri) of Longmont, CO and Hilda (Chuck) Finch of Bartlesville, OK; six grandchildren; John Jr, Rick, Ken and Mark Busch, Megan (Busch) Coury and CJ Finch; twelve great grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren.

 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul (1980), her parents, three sisters: Ramona, Violet and Ardis as well as brother, Merlin, two nieces and one nephew.

 

Funeral services will be held at First Church of the Nazarene, 2515 W. 16th St., Greeley, CO, on Monday, March 13, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. Visitation will be from 1-2 p.m. prior to the service. Her burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Greeley.
