LaVerna Dorothy Anton Bahl passed away peacefully on Saturday evening, July 28, 2018, in Layton, Utah after living a fulfilling 97 years. She was born in Huntley, Nebraska February 10, 1921, to parents Robert Paul Anton and Anna Krauss Anton.
She was raised in McCook, Nebraska and graduated from Chillicothe Business College in 1939. She later returned to McCook, Nebraska where she was courted by the love of her life, Robert T. "Bob" Bahl, while they were both working at Manny Motors.
After Bob's service in WWII, they married on December 7, 1944, in St. Patricks Church. She was a supportive and loving wife, mother and grandmother. She relocated with her husband and two boys finally settling in Utah. Her husband past away on December 7, 2003.
In the past few months as her health was failing, she expressed daily her love for her family. Grandma enjoyed exercising twice a week at Davis Hospital with the Seniors Group well into her 90s. She cherished the friends she made there.
LaVerna is survived by her two sons, Robert J. "Bob" (Janis) Bahl, of Layton and Raymond E. "Ray" (Paula) Bahl, of Layton; grandchildren, Christopher (Merritt) Bahl, Stephanie (Philip) Rogich, Melanie, Michelle, Anthony, and Nick; and great-grandchildren, Spencer (Zoe), Chloe, and Jack.
She is preceded in death by her husband; her grandson, Raymond; and three brothers.
