Geneva Elaine Cain of McCook passed away Monday, May 12, 2014 at Community Hospital. Geneva was born on August 25, 1919 at Kansas City, Missouri to parents, Louis O. and Effie "Pearl" (Baugher) Fox.

Geneva attended McCook Public Schools and received her GED in 1980. On August 29, 1936 she was united in marriage to Daniel Willard "Bill" Cain in Oberlin, KS. They lived most of their married life on a farm near McCook. Geneva was a busy homemaker and mother of five children.

She was a long-time member of the First Christian Church and later became a member of Grace Baptist Church. She was also a member of the Homemakers Extension Club. She enjoyed gardening, her flowers, sewing, cooking and baking, embroidery work and spending time with her family.

Preceding her in death by: husband, Bill Cain; her parents, Louis and Pearl Fox; granddaughter, Terra Renee' Foster; five brothers, Clinton (Jessie), Virgil (Eva), Vernon, Lyle (Betty) and Jess (Leona) Fox; and sister-in-law, Vivian (Steve) Hockman.

Not included in original obituary, also preceding her in death was a sister, Lola LaFerne Schrock.

Services will be at Grace Baptist Church in McCook on Thursday, May 15, 2014, 11:00 a.m. with Jerry Beckenhauer officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
