ADEL, Iowa -- Eleanora Galloway, 90, died Monday (Dec. 7, 2009), at Sunnybrook of Adel, Iowa.
She was born Sept. 29, 1919, in McCook, to Jacob and Elizabeth Lebsack. She graduated in 1937 from McCook High School and was the valedictorian of her class.
On March 6, 1943, she married James T. Galloway.
She retired in 1993 from her job as an executive secretary.
She was a member of the Park Avenue Presbyterian Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, James Galloway on Feb. 25, 2005; and her brother, Raymond Lebsack.
Survivors include her children, xx of Huntsville, Ala., xx of Adel, Iowa, and xx of West Des Moines, Iowa; two sisters, xx of McCook; six grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.
Services will be at 1 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 12, 2009, at McLaren's Chapel in West Des Moines, Iowa.
