INDIANOLA -- Vera Louise Crabtree, 80, died Sunday (April 16, 2006) at her home in Indianola. Vera was born on Oct. 22, 1925, at McCook to Wallace Riley and Louise Nora (Brown) Aman. She graduated from McCook High School in 1943, McCook Junior College in 1945 and attended the University of Lincoln. On Feb.10, 1946, she married Leslie B. Crabtree in McCook. They made their home in various locations around the world including, England, Germany, Alaska and Offutt Air Force Base in Omaha. After her husband's retirement from the military in 1966, they made their home in Indianola where she was a homemaker. She was a 50 year member of the Indianola United Methodist Church and American Legion Auxiliary. Preceding her in death were her parents, Wallace and Louise Aman; her husband, Leslie B. Crabtree; and daughter, Beth Crabtree in 1994. Survivors include her two sons, Richard Crabtree of Martell and Tommy Crabtree of Indianola.
