Gerald Monroe Ebert STRASBURG - Gerald Monroe Ebert, 86, died on Wednesday, Nov. 3, 2010, at his residence. He was born on Sept. 12, 1924, in Neb., and was a son of the late Otto Albert and Leva E. Ebert. Mr. Ebert was a member of the St. John Bosco Roman Catholic Church in Woodstock. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He retired from the Government where he worked as a Steam Engineer. He was a member of the Shenandoah American Legion Post #77 of Strasburg. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Ann Stillman Ebert of Toms Brook; a son, David Ebert of Toms Brook; two granddaughters; and three great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two sons, Mark Ebert, and Bruce Ebert.
