Devere Leon Clifton, 79, of Denver died March 7 in St. Joseph Hospital (Denver, Colorado). Services were March 10 in Horan and McConaty Family Chapel. Burial was in Fort Logan National Cemetery. Mr. Clifton was born in Laird . He was a truck driver and former past president, secretary, treasurer and business agent of Teamsters Local 961. Mr. Clifton served in the Army during World War II. He is survived by his wife, Marion; one son, Robert of Denver; one daughter, Carolyn Stratman of Golden; one brother, Merle of McCook, Neb.; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
