Mrs. Loretta Alice Ruppert was born Feb. 15, 1908, at McCook, the daughter of the late John L. and Jane Marie Traphagan, and died June 1 at St. Catherine’s Hospital after a long illness.
As a child she lived with her parents on a farm in the Spring Creek vicinity. She graduated from McCook High School and attended the Hastings Teachers Academy. She taught in rural schools in Red Willow and Frontier Counties. On Nov. 28, 1935, she married Glenn S. Ruppert. They resided on a farm north of McCook.
Survivors are her husband, Glenn S.; one son, Thomas, and five sisters, Mrs. Leona McCracken, Wymore, Mrs. Genevieve Anderjaska, Hayes Center, Mrs. Irene Jane Vap, Eleanor Traphagan and Mrs. Bernadine Stelmach, all of McCook. A brother, Lt. John C. Traphagan, preceded her in death.
Requiem funeral mass was held June 3 at St. Ann’s Catholic Church with the Rev. William Woestman, OMI, officiating. Interment was in the Calvary Cemetery, McCook.
