Donald J. McKillip died Feb. 22, 2008, at Concord, Calif., at the age of 83. He was born Sept. 6, 1924, in Denver, Colo., the son of the late Norbert J. and Claire Anna (McKenna) McKillip. He graduated from McCook Senior High School in 1943. He entered the U.S. Army Air Corps and served as a flight engineer on B17s with the Eighth Air Force and was a Sergeant when he was honorably discharged in November of 1945. In 1946, Donald married Eunice J. Carter. He received his Doctor of Education Degree in 1969, from the University of Utah at Salt Lake City, Utah. They have made their home at Brentwood, Calif., for the past 39 years. He is survived by his wife, Eunice McKillip of Brentwood; two sons, Don McKillip and Michael McKillip; one daughter, Sandra Kay McKillip; nine grandchildren; one sister, Marian Farrell and husband, Warren of McCook; one brother, Leo McKillip of Omaha; and relatives and friends.
