Andrea L. Sawyer, age 45, died Wednesday (Nov. 1, 2006) at McCook Community Hospital.

She was born April 18, 1961, to Earl D. and Letha M. (Stephens) Svoboda at Seward. She attended grade school in Norton and McCook Public School and graduated from McCook High School in 1979. She attended college to become a Para-legal.

She married Rodney Sawyer in Las Vegas, Nev., on May 21, 1990. She was a charter member of the McCook Evangelical Free Church.

She was preceded in death by her mother and father-in-law, Lorence and Dorothy Sawyer, and brother-in-law, Gary Sawyer.

Survivors include her husband, Rodney; two daughters, Shelby Desiree and Chantel Alexis Sawyer of McCook; step-children, Jason Brett and Jessica Nicole Sawyer of Omaha; her parents, Earl and Letha Svoboda; brother, Darrell Svoboda and wife, Brenda; two sisters, Angela McCarty and husband, Dave and Anissa Curl and husband, Kurke; one brother-in-law, Don Sawyer and wife, Shirley all of McCook; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were Saturday at the Evangelical Free Church, with the Revs. Bruce Lester, Chris Atkins, and Eddie Wright officiating. Burial followed in Memorial Park Cemetery.
