It has been alittle over 5 years since Rod's death and I still miss him dearly. I could not have asked for a better brother, he was truely a genuine good person. I miss his smile, humor. Love you Rod....Kim

Rodney Ray McKillip, 46, of McCook, died Saturday, June 5, 2004, at Hugh Butler Lake.

He was born Dec. 26, 1957, to James A. and Marlys Jean (Grafel) McKillip at McCook.

He had lived in McCook all his life. He graduated from McCook High School in 1976. He enjoyed music, TaeKwonDo, fishing, sports, and especially Husker football.

He worked at Parker-Hannifin (formally Dayco) and had celebrated 20 years of employment on May 29, 2004.

He was a member of the First Congregational Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents Edward & Iverna (Dimond) Grafel and Nile and Opal McKillip.

Survivors include a brother, Randall McKillip and wife, Sherry of McCook; a sister, Kimberly Aubrey and husband, Bill of McCook; and niece, Ashley Aubrey of McCook and nephew, Brady McKillip and wife, Leslea from Lamoni, Iowa.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Rodney McKillip Memorial Fund.

Memorial services will be Wednesday, June 9, 10 p.m. at the First Congregational Church with Pastor Steve Bales officiating.
