After graduation from MHS and graduating from MCC. I attended and graduated from UNL. I served in the USN and upon returning married and began my career. I have been with the same firm for the last 35 years. I am also President and CEO of the Richard P and Laurine Kimmel Charitable Foundation Inc. since 1998. The Kimmel Foundation is most noted for our philanthropic grants across Nebraska and the Kimmel Orchard and Vineyard in Nebraska City. I am also a Trustee of the University of Nebraska Foundation and past Trustee of First Plymouth Church in Lincoln. My favorite past time besides my Sons and Grandson's are spending my summers at my summer cabin in the Big Horn Mountains of Wyoming. My other passion is playing farmer at my farm outside Lincoln where I have antique tractors and horses. I love the close relationships with fellow classmates which have remained strong and lasting.

I feel blessed to have a minds eye that allows me to recall so many great times with nearly all my classmates. And a heart that makes me sad when I think of our classmated who have left us for a life where again one day we will be united.
