Lelond Parde - Class Of 1964

Lelond Albert Parde
December 6, 1945 - June 8, 2020


Lee, a loving husband and father of three, passed away at his home in Wrightwood, Calif. 


He was born and raised in Nebraska.  He graduated at McCook High School in 1964. He then
joined the Navy and served as a Seabee, in Vietnam and was honorably discharged in 1968.


He spent his adult life in California but always had Nebraska in his heart and enjoyed visiting
family in McCook and attending class reunions. Lee always had a heart to serve and volunteer in
the community where he lived. He most recently served as Vice-President of the Wrightwood
Historical Museum and he was a volunteer at the National Forest Visitor Center.


Lelond was preceded in death by his father, Albert, mother Emma and brother Virgil.


Lelond is survived by his wife Darlene, of 44 years, daughter Lisa May, son Nicholas Parde and
son Anthony Parde, all of California. Also, brother, Eldon Parde of McCook, sister Marleen
Parde Bales of Kearney and many living grandchildren, nieces, nephews and extended family.


Lee was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend to everyone.


A military memorial service was held June 24 at the Riverside Military Cemetery in Riverside,
Calif.
