Stan Fallick, age 85, of Lincoln, passed away October 25, 2017, at The Arbors Memory Care facility in Lincoln. Born May 27, 1932, in McCook, to Stanley & Hazel Fallick. He graduated from McCook High School in 1950. He received his associate degree from McCook Junior College in 1952. Stan attended UNL from 1952 to 1954 then was drafted into the U.S. Army, where he served 16 months in South Korea as a clerk-typist in the Officer's Branch of Adjutant General Division of the 8th Army Headquarters.

After completing his military service, he resumed studies at UNL where he finished in 1958 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering. Stan was employed with Nebraska Public Power District until he retired in 1996.

On August 6, 1961, Stan married Lois A. Kallenbach. Previously residing in York and Lincoln, they were longtime residents of Columbus. It is there they raised their five children: Julie (& Mark) Voboril, Jaci Fallick, JoElle (& Tom) Jensen, Dr. John (& Jean) Fallick and Jay (& Kylie) Fallick. He was proud of his 12 grandchildren: Jade, Jacob, Eliza, Jerrad, Mariah, Joshua, Jordyn, Joseph, Quinn, Payton, Carter and Alexis.

Stan was a member of professional engineering organizations: National Society of Professional Engineers and Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers. He was active with the United Methodist Church. Upon retiring, he volunteered at North Park Elementary school in Columbus where he helped students with math, doing so in Spanish when needed. After moving to Lincoln, he volunteered at Hill Elementary, assisted with elections, and provided volunteer tax assistance. Stan cheered for the Huskers, attending football, volleyball and baseball games. Stan loved computers and Excel spreadsheets, music and dancing.

Stan is survived by his children, grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by wife Lois (Kallenbach) Fallick, his parents, sister Nancy Hawkins, brother-in-law Gene Hawkins, sister-in-law Mary Schmidt, and nephews Jeff Schmidt and Joe Hawkins.

A celebration of life service will take place at 10:30 a.m. October 31, at South Gate United Methodist Church, 3500 Pioneers Blvd, Lincoln; Rev. Stephanie Ahlschwede presiding. Visitation with family will be prior to the service, with a luncheon immediately following the celebration. A family inurnment of ashes at Lincoln Memorial Park Cemetery will follow the luncheon.

The family extends their many thanks to the caregivers at The Arbors Memory Care and Hospice Community Care for their patience, kindness and compassion.
