Frederick Ray Hundley, 69, passed away at home on Friday, July 14, 2023, in Oakhill, Kansas, where he had been residing with his wife, Susan, since 2004.

Fred was born in Blue Island, Illinois to Harold H. Hundley and Edna (Stettler) Hundley, on June 13, 1954. He married the love of his life, Susan (Blaylock) in Kansas on December 16, 1979.

Fred is survived by his wife, Susan; daughter Sharon (Tony) Alberston (Oak Hill, KS), son Michael (Barbara) Beasley (Overland Park, KS) and daughter Georgette (Chris) Wilson (Overland Park, KS); grandchildren, Austen Alberton, Olivia Hundley-Wilson, and Cora Wilson. He is also survived by his brother Steve (Betty) Hundley, sister Martha (Cecil) Schoonover, niece and three nephews. Fred was preceded in death by his parents.

Fred worked as a mud logger in the Texas oil fields for almost 20 years. Fred later moved into the construction field where he enjoyed working construction primarily when working alongside his brother Steve. Fred took pride in his work and always found a way to provide for his family.

Fred was a sports fanatic and loved watching the Kansas City Chiefs, the Kansas City Royals, and Kansas State football and basketball games. If he missed a game, the power must have been out.

A Celebration of Life will be held in the gymnasium of The Presbyterian Church of Oak Hill on September 2, 2023, at 4 pm.
