Randy James Atwood

AUGUST 12, 1952 – AUGUST 18, 2019

Randy James Atwood, 67, father and grandfather, mentor and friend to many, passed from this life into his heavenly home Sunday, August 18, 2019.

Randy was born August 12, 1952 to Harold and Jaqueline Atwood (Jacques) in North Platte, Nebraska.

He will be remembered for his quick smile, sharp wit, and generous heart. Randy loved God and God’s word, memorizing hundreds of scriptures over his lifetime (almost all in the King James version). He was quick to encourage and invite men to prayer and accountability meetings in his home.

Randy spent more than 20 years working in the insurance industry, first as a salesman, then as a trainer and recruiter. He finished his career with Mutual of Omaha before moving to Colorado Springs in 2008. Randy co-founded the Springs Rescue Mission’s Mens’ Program Alumni group with Robert Worrall and has grown a family of restored and redeemed followers around him.

Randy is survived by his children, son, Aaron and his wife Sarah, their four daughters; Hannah, Elle, Ava, and Emme and his daughter DeEtte Seiler and her husband Matt, their four children; Jordan, Makayla, Aiden, and Brynna.

Services will be held at Boulder Street Church (828 E Boulder St, Colorado Springs, CO 80903) Monday, August 26, 2019 at 1:30. In lieu of flowers please make gifts in Randy’s honor to Boulder Street Church (boulderstreet.org/give).
