Francis Ray "Frank" Coufal, 74, of Topeka, passed away on Friday, January 13, 2023 at Midland Hospice House in Topeka. He was born March 5, 1948 in Grand Island, Nebraska, the son of Elvin F. and Betty J. (Zentner) Coufal.
Frank graduated from McCook High School in McCook, Nebraska in 1966 and earned a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from the University of Nebraska in 1972. He was employed as a Civil Engineer for the State of Kansas for 43 years before retiring. He was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church.
Frank married on August 8, 1970 in Lincoln, Nebraska. She survives. Other survivors include three children, seven grandchildren and his step-mother.
A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial at Christ the King Catholic Church will be announced as soon as possible. Inurnment will follow in Mount Calvary Cemetery.
