Bonnie McEachern (Teter) - Class Of 1960

 

Bonnie Lee Teter, 72, passed away early Sunday, April 27, 2014 at the East Morgan County Hospital in Brush following a lengthy illness. She was born April 7, 1942, in Wichita, KS, to Robert & Phyllis McEachern. Bonnie lived most of her life in the Brush community. She graduated from Brush High School in 1960. On August 19, 1961, she married Alvin Leroy Teter in Brush. Prior to ill health forcing her retirement, Bonnie was a homemaker and bookkeeper for Teter Oil Field Construction Company. Bonnie loved to go on her early morning walks with several friends. She also had a passion for golfing and was a member of the Bunker Hill Country Club. Bonnie & Leroy were also given the opportunity to raise their granddaughter, Kyla. Survivors include her husband, Alvin Leroy Teter of Brush; 3 children, Mark, and his wife Lynne of Brush; Chris Gerk, and her husband Brad of Holyoke, CO and Sara Evans of Greeley; her Mother, Phyllis Schilz of Brush; 1 brother, Bobby (Ellen) McEachern of WA; 3 sisters, Debbie (Rod) Gifford of Phoenix, AZ, Carla (Tim) Matheny of Colorado Springs, and Charla (Tom) Nelson of Portland, OR; 9 grandchildren, Jessica Jones, Talia Mayhugh, Kyla Araujo, Chandler Gerk, Jacklyn Gerk, Katelyn Gerk, David Evans, Jade Evans, and Chloe Evans; and 4 great grandchildren, Aubrey Smith, Christian Mayhugh, Gavin Araujo & Eva Araujo. Funeral services will be Thursday, May 1, 2014, at 11:00 AM at the Brush United Methodist Church. Interment will be at 2:30 PM at the Walks Camp Methodist Cemetery north of Limon. Visitation will be at the Heer Mortuary Chapel in Brush on Wednesday from 3 - 6 PM. Friends who wish may make memorial gifts to the East Morgan County Hospital Foundation.
