Jo Ann Amen (Santi) - Class Of 1944

JoAnn Amen Lingle Santi Dec. 8, 1925 - April 9, 2020 WEAVERVILLE, N. C. — JoAnn Santi, 94, passed away peacefully at the home of her daughter and son-in-law on April 9, 2020. She was born Dec. 8, 1925, in McCook, Neb., to Joe and Harriet (Comford) Amen. She attended McCook schools and graduated in 1944. JoAnn spent most of her life in McCook. She worked in women’s retail and then as a cosmetician at A&M Rexall until she retired. She was a member of St. Alban’s Episcopal Church. In November 2006, at the age of 81, JoAnn moved to North Carolina to be close to her daughter and family. She had resided at the Ardenwoods retirement community for the past 13 years. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two husbands, Harold “Zom” Lingle in 1969 and Jack V. Santi in 1998; and by her two sisters, Betty Losh (Bo) and Sherle Kelley (Bob). She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Cheri (Lingle) and Frank Taylor of Weaverville, N.C.; one grandson, Matthew Taylor and wife, Meg of Nashville, Tenn.; and a great-granddaughter due in July. She is also survived by two nephews, Rob Kelley and Bill Kelley, both of Paso Robles, Calif. Cards of condolences can reach the family at 162 Twin Court Dr., Weaverville, N.C. 28787. Interment will be in the columbarium at St. Alban’s in McCook at a later date.
