Robert W. Hayter, age 90, of Lincoln, passed away Monday, August 6, 2012. He was born on August 6, 1922 in Hastings to Walter and Margrette (Mace) Hayter. He graduated from McCook High School and attended Hastings College. U.S. WWII Army veteran.

Survived by wife, Sharon of Lincoln; daughter and son-in-law, Nancy and Joe Velasquez of Lincoln; son, Tom Hayter of Port Richie, Fla.; son and daughter-in-law, Charles and Kim Hayter of Lacey, Wash.; son, Steve Hayter of Oklahoma; step-daughter, Gaylynn Newbury of Lincoln; step-daughter and spouse, Kelli and Dan Curnyn of Council Bluffs, Iowa; step-son and spouse, Eric and Didi Schnuerle of Omaha; step-son, Paul Newbury of Eagle; several grandchildren and great grandchildren. Preceded in death by his parents, son Jerald Hayter, grandson Matthew Sebek, step-son Bill Schnuerle, brother and sister-in-law Vern and Betty Hayter.
