Dorothy Irene Bryan, 88, mother of Carol Barrett of Oberlin,, died Wednesday, July 16, 2008, at the Decatur County Good Samaritan Home in Oberlin.
She was born April 5, 1920, in Oxford, NE., the daughter of Gilbert ReRoy and Sybil Irene (Thomas) Loper. She graduated from McCook High School in 1938.
She married Raymond H. Bryan on Feb 6, 1943, in Norman, OK. She was a member of St. Alban's Episcopal Church in McCook.
Survivors include a son, Raymond and Jean Bryan, Summerville, SC; two daughters, Carol and John Barrett, Oberlin, and E. Marie and Paul Sutton, McCook; 12 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Raymond in 1992; two brothers, Gilbert and Keith and a sister, Bernice.
Funeral services were held Friday morning at Carpenter Breland Funeral Chapel in McCook with pastor Mike Larson officiating. Burial was in the McCook Riverview Cemetery.
