Norma Jean Moyer died a peaceful natural death on August 21, 2012 at an Assisted Living home in Orangevale, CA. She was born on July 18, 1926 to John Schafer and Ameilia Echardt Schafer. They lived on a farm without electricity in Nebraska where Norma attended a one room school house. She later attended a business college in Tulsa, OK where she married Jerauld Moyer and eventually moved to Livermore, CA. Norma ran her own Professional Massage business in Livermore for many years. After a 12 year stay in Georgetown, CA she moved to Paradise, CA. She was a member of the Ridge Quilters Guild, belonged to various book clubs, and attended The Church of Religious Science. Norma was a fantastic baker, cook and was inspirational and encouraging to others. She studied metaphysics, loved foot rubs, bargains, and loved advising young adults. Norma was preceded in death by her brothers, Dallas, Lawrence and Richard. She is survived by her children; Mark Moyer of Grass Valley, CA, Cynthia Goodrich of Chico, CA, and Vincent Moyer of Los Gatos, CA, and 5 grandchildren; Chelsea Pavone, Nolan Pavone, Spencer Goodrich, Morgan Goodrich, and Nicholas Moyer, Katarina Reid, Bengamin Reid and her bother Eldon of Tucson, AZ. A private memorial service will be held at 1 PM on September 22, 2012 at the Church of Spiritual Awareness in Paradise.
