Mary Goodsell (Kennedy) - Class Of 1964

Mary Margaret Goodsell Kennedy, 72, of Dana Point, California, passed away Thursday, April 11, 2019, of complications from diabetes.

She was born September 9, 1946 in Sioux City, Iowa to Hal and Arlene Goodsell. After high school in Omaha and McCook, Nebraska (Class of ‘64), she attended McCook Junior College, followed by airline school from which she launched a lifelong career in service to various airlines, including Bonanza, Hughes Airwest, Continental, Northwest, United.

She loved gardening, travel and sports (particularly Nebraska football and LA Kings hockey), attending many events and games with family and friends all over the world. Her work allowed her the freedom to travel and live where she wanted-Las Vegas, NV, Salt Lake City, UT, Denver, CO, Simi Valley, CA, and San Diego, CA.

In 1975, she married Ken Kennedy in Las Vegas, Nevada. Together they had two children and many adventures.

She was preceded in death by her parents and older sister Nancy Goodsell. She is survived by children: daughter Erika Kennedy of Dana Point and son Tracy Kennedy of Moscow, ID, grandchildren: Sierra and Ethan Kennedy of Moscow, ID, brother Alan Goodsell (Terri), nephew Todd Goodsell and niece Jaime Goodsell of Absarokee, MT, four grand nephews, and her dog Oscar.

Memorials may be sent to American Diabetes Foundation, P.O. Box 15829, Arlington, VA 22215. A Celebration of Life is being planned for a later date in 2019.

William Griffin (1964)

Mary was a good sport and always happy our senior summer ,  She will be missed.   Griff, Tucumcari
