87, departed his earthly body to be with His Lord and Savior Jesus Christ,  on Jan. 12, 2021. Martin was born in McCook, Nebraska to Desiderio and Rafaela (Luevano) Ortiz on June 5, 1933. He worked for the United States Postal Service for 30 years. Martin also served in The United States Navy. Martin is preceded in death by his parents; wife of 62 years, Mary Ortiz; siblings, Joe and Juan Ortiz, Lupe Willard, Marie Steele, Doris Leon, Mary Harris and Jessica Wolf; He is survived by his children, Joseph (Lisa) Ortiz, Derby, Cecila (Stuart) Volz, Marty Ortiz, both of Wichita and Joni (Greg) Greer, Kechi; grandchildren Gina (Jerry) Cox, Lacy Volz, Alyssa Ortiz, Arman Ortiz, Anita Ortiz, Garrison Greer and Mackenzie Greer; great grandchild, Brady Cox; Graveside Service will be held on Jan. 20, 2021 at 2:00 PM, Resurrection Cemetery, 1640 N.
