Myrna Harmon (Bollerup) - Class Of 1947

Our mother, Myrna Mae Harmon Bollerup, left on her last journey on Oct. 1, 2014. Myrna was born on Aug. 17, 1929, in McCook, Nebraska, to John and Love Harmon. She graduated from McCook High School in 1947, and married her high school sweetheart, Kenneth Bollerup, in June 1948. Myrna and Ken spent their entire lives in McCook. Myrna worked at McCook Community College for 30 years as the administrative assistant to the president. She served on the board of directors of the Museum of the High Plains Historical Society. Myrna was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ken; parents; in-laws, Christian and Elfreida Bollerup; and brothers Garold and Clayton "Beanie" Harmon. Myrna and Ken are survived by their sister-in-law, Veldron Harmon; children and spouses, Edwin and Deb Bollerup, Christine Fahrenbruch, and Richard and Therese Bollerup; their grandchildren and spouses, Sara and Donald Marshall, Carrie and Charlie Beresford, Julie Bollerup, Staci and Dan McCourtney, Sally and Ed Cutting, Jessica Kennedy, Joe Bollerup, and Jean and Austin Kelley; their great-grandchildren, Logan and Cooper Marshall; Fiona and Ronan Beresford; Landon White; Kiley and Derik McCourtney; Kyle and Elizabeth Cutting; Ayden Bollerup; and Daniel and Richard Kelley; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be Tuesday, Oct. 7, 2014, 10:30 a.m. at Memorial United Methodist Church in McCook, where Myrna was a lifetime member, taught Sunday school, and belonged to the Esther Circle of the Methodist Women's Society. Pastor Doug Greiger will officiate, with inurnment at Memorial Park Cemetery in McCook.
