BURIAL

Pollyann (Petty) Mason, daughter of William McCarl and Nellie (Schwab) Petty, was born in McCook, Nebraska on July 27, 1922. She graduated from McCook High School and attended McCook Junior College (Mid-Plains Community College) and the University of Nebraska graduating in 1944 with a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration. With her husband, Arthur, Polly raised three daughters taking an active role in PTA and as a Girl Scout leader when her children were school age. After moving to Denver in 1966, she became a member of Wellshire Presbyterian church continuing her involvement with Rachael Circle until recently. She was an active member of PEO for 80 years. She proudly supported the University of Denver through her husband's work as Dean of the College of Business. She supported women's athletics at DU and was an avid hockey fan rarely missing a University of Denver home game. Art, her husband of 66 years, preceded her in death. She is survived by her three daughters Judy Missey (Roger), Pam Madsen, Sally Mason (Derrell Capes), and granddaughter Alexandra Madsen (Andrew Chahrour). Polly loved people; they felt at ease almost immediately upon meeting her. She valued friendship and had a lively sense of humor making us smile and laugh to the very end of her life.
