Ardis Hileman (Foose) - Class Of 1937

Ardis Foose, 94, of Greeley, CO passed away September 7, 2014 at her residence at Bonell. She was born March 2, 1920 in McCook Neb., to Chester and Ruth (McBride) Hileman. She attended school in McCook and married Jerry McLeland, later having three children together. In 1966, the family moved to Greeley, where Ardis worked as a data entry supervisor and retired from Weld County in 1982. In 1984, she was remarried to Daniel Foose of Greeley and after many happy years in the family residence they relocated to Bonell. Ardis enjoyed family time, involvement with activities at St. Paul's Congregational Church and was an active member of PEO in Greeley, becoming a lifetime member. Sewing and quilting were amongst her favorite hobbies. Her love of the outdoors led her to many weekend camping trips and travel around the northwest and beyond. However her most prized time was with the family and with a wonderful voice, her love of music was happily passed on by singing her favorite songs to three generations of offspring. Ardis is survived by a daughter, Lynda Peterson of Spokane WA; son, Kip (Karen) McLeland of LaSalle, CO; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by first husband, Jerry McLeland; husband, Daniel Foose; and daughter, Susan McLeland.
