Byron B Brunswick, 69, died Tuesday (Jan. 26, 2010) at the Community Hospital in McCook.

He was born, June 26, 1940 at McCook, to Lewis M. and Dorothy G. (Bonar) Brunswick.

Byron had four children, Robert, Chad, Tonja and Rona.

Byron graduated from McCook High School in 1958. For 20 years he lived in Colorado where he worked and had his own band, The Country Edition. He was a heavy equipment mechanic and welder. He enjoyed his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was an avid Denver Broncos fan.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Lewis and Dorothy Brunswick; two sisters, Dora Farr and Grace Brunswick; two step-brothers Don Brunswick and LaVern Brunswick.

Survivors include his two sons, Robert and wife, Robin Brunswick of Greeley, Colo.; Chad and wife, Kelly Sauvage of Salina, Kan.; two daughters, Tonja and husband, Doug Broadwell and Rona Mullen, both of Grand Island; three brothers, Marion and wife, Sam Brunswick, Manny and wife, Vonda Brunswick and Wayne Brunswick, all of McCook; two sisters, Darlene and husband, Jerry Lambert of McCook and Donna and husband, Ron Salliday of Manhattan, Kan.; special friend Geraldine Clark; 13 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Saturday afternoon, 1 p.m., at Carpenter Breland Funeral Home with Johnny Walker officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.

Visitation will be Wednesday afternoon until 8 p.m., Thursday and Friday from 9 a.m. until 8 p.m.

Memorials may be given in his name to the ALS Foundation.
