Thomas Budig - Class Of 1934

GREEN VALLEY, Ariz. -- Tom J. Budig, 85, died Sunday (Sept. 29, 2002) at his home in Green Valley, Ariz.
He was born Jan. 23, 1917, in Leed, S.D. and grew up in McCook. He was a graduate of the University of Nebraska in Lincoln.

He served in the U.S. Air Force as a 1st Lieutenant, piloting P-38s and P-51s during World War II.

He was with the Assessor's Department in the Real Estate Appraiser's Office in Los Angeles, Calif., for 30 years.

He was a member of the Country Club of Green Valley.

Survivors include his wife, Ellen; daughter, Joan and husband, Rick Alexander of El Cajon, Calif.; stepson, Harold Duckworth and wife, Kelly of San Diego, Calif.; stepdaughters, Susan and husband, Michael Mollick of Atlanta, Ga., and Patricia and husband, Edward Andrews of Chatsworth, Calif.; two granddaughters; and six stepgrandchildren.

A memorial service was held Friday (Oct. 11, 2002) at the Green Valley Mortuary.
