OBITUARY: The Signal, Sept. 8, 1994 KAREN ANN ALEXANDRE Retired school teacher Karen Ann Alexandre, 59 died Monday in Stevenson Ranch, California, after a brief illness. She was born May 13, 1935 in Holdrege, Neb., and was a resident of Stevenson Ranch. She taught school for two years at Republican Valley in Nebraska, at Saugus Elementary School in California for two years, and for 25 years at Emblem Elementary School in the Saugus Union School District, California. She is survived by her mother, Pearl Almquist; her sister, Marilyn McCarty of McCook, Neb; her brothers, James Almquist of Denver, Colo and Jon Almquist of Sierra Vista, Ariz; 11 nieces and nephews; and a host of good friends. Services are scheduled 4 p.m. today, Eternal Valley Mortuary, 23287 N Sierra Hwy., Newhall, California. Memorials may be given in her name to the charity of donor's preference or to the American Cancer Society.
